NEWS: West End hit, 'Yes, Prime Minister!' to come to Theatr Clwyd, North Wales in November.

After sell-out seasons in the West End and throughout the UK, Anthony Jay and Jonathan Lynn’s comedy smash-hit Yes, Prime Minister! comes to the Theatr Clwyd stage starring Paul Bradley, Daniel Casey and Peter Forbes.
Prime Minister Jim Hacker and his long-suffering Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby are back – still morally dubious and spinning the stories – all while starting disaster and political ruin in the face! Starring Paul Bradley (EastEnders, Holby City) as Jim Hacker and Daniel Casey (Midsummer Murders, EastEnders) as Bernard Wooley and Peter Forbes at Sir Humphrey Appleby this hilarious comedy smash-hit is guaranteed to leave audiences crying with laughter.
The UK is in crisis: debt is spiralling, unemployment is on the rise and the fragile coalition cabinet, led by Prime Minister Jim Hacker, is at breaking point. But salvation may exist in the form of a complex pipeline deal with the oil-rich country of Kumranistan that would entitle the government to a multi-trillion pound loan. When the Kumranistan Foreign Secretary makes a shocking request of Jim's Private Secretary Bernard Woolley, moral considerations collide with the economic future of the nation. But how will Jim and his team: Bernard, Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby, and Special Adviser Claire Sutton, reconcile the two? Political machinations, media manipulation and an appeal for divine intervention ensue.
"Left me crying with laughter ... the piece achieves one of those blissful peaks of great farce when it becomes physically impossible to stop laughing ... a smash hit if ever I saw one" - Charles Spencer, Daily Telegraph on Yes, Prime Minister! the play.
Yes, Prime Minister! the hilarious political stage satire from the writers of the original television series Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister can be seen at Theatr Clwyd (Theatr Anthony Hopkins) from Tue 5 – Sat 9 November. Eves 7.30pm, Tue & Sat Mat 2.30pm. Tickets, priced from £30 are available from the Theatre Clwyd Box Office on 01352 344101 or at www.theatrclwyd.com.
