NEWS: Star names announce Lighthouse shows. Poole.


Positive response to show dateas more star names announced 

Having seen such a positive response to the return of live performance Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, is announcing more new shows on sale this week. 


Joining a raft of shows for 2021 that have already been announced, there are dates confirmed for comedians Katharine Ryan and Omid Djalili, as well as the ever-popular Rumours of Fleetwood Mac tribute show. 


Lighthouse can also confirm a series of new shows for this year that will be to socially distanced audiences. 

Tickets go on sale this week for: 


• Omid Djalili – The Good Times Tour11 June 2021. Concert HallThe multi award-winning comedian and actor is back where he belongs – on a stage and bringing back the Good Times. Intelligent, provocative, entertaining, Omid’s legendary stand-up performances are a captivating comedy masterclass. 


• Katherine Ryan – Missus20 November 2021. Concert HallThe creator and star of Netflix smash hit The Duchess (along with two global Netflix comedy specials: In Trouble and Glitter Room) comedian Katherine Ryan makes a hugely welcome return to Lighthouse with her latest live show, Missus.  


 Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. 8 April 2021Concert Hall. The world’s finest Fleetwood Mac tribute return with a brand-new show, including a very special blues set paying tribute to Fleetwood Macs legendary Peter Green era. 


• English Touring Opera27, 28 November 2020TheatreETO return to live performance with a programme that focuses on the voice of individual in isolationon the power of song, and of poetry. All performances run without an interval and include the directorial debut of Susan Bickley, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished mezzo-sopranos of her generation.  


• Liane Carroll. 4 December 2020. Theatre. We’re delighted to welcome back Liane Carroll, one of the leading lights of British jazz and an international favourite. She’ll be appearing with bassist Roger Carey and Russell Field on drums. 


• Tenors Unlimited – Christmas Show. 5 December 2020. Concert Hall. The Rat Pack of opera return to the live stage with a show packed full of festive favourites. 


• Live and Unheard. 10 December 2020. Theatre. Our monthly showcase of unsigned original music talent is back with another three emerging acts presented by Hangover Hill.  


• Coastal Comedy. 12 December 2020. Theatre. Our monthly comedy club returns with another triple bill of TV comedians hosted by regular compere Adrienne Coles.

The National Trevor Tour (24 April), The Barricade Boys (29 April), Stewart Lee: Snowflake/Tornado (15 May), Gangsta Granny (9-13 June), Rock of Ages: Here We Go Again (15-19 June)The American Four Tops (17 June), Coastal Comedy Colossal (25 September) and Steve Hackett: Genesis Revisited Seconds Out + More (8 October), Show of Hands – Tyne to Tamar (10 November), John Bishop – Right Here Right Now (2 December). 

Subject to the latest safety guidelines, more shows will be announced in the coming weeks.
