Imaginarium Online

Following the success of their exciting Summer of Shakespeare online programme (with engagement from across the UK, Europe and even the USA), Imaginarium Theatre launch Imaginarium Online offering online Zoom courses and masterclasses for creative professionals and passionate hobbyists of all ages.

This autumn Michael Corbidge, Senior Associate Voice & Text at the Royal Shakespeare Company, (and Imaginarium patron) returns to host two exciting 8 week courses:

THE KEY (TO SHAKESPEARE)

Whether you are an experienced classical theatre buff, a professional or emerging actor, or just someone who is keen to discover the joys of text and character for the first time- this fun, friendly 8 week workshop will have plenty to offer you.

Michael has created a tool box, a practical key, to help you build an immediate and visceral connection to the text- a chance to let the words leap off the page and live in the space, un-hindered. By getting the reading process out of the head and into the body, Michael will help you build confidence with text, unlocking a hidden world of sumptuous sound, voice, physicality, all woven into the words of Shakespeare’s text.

Tuesday 20th October - Tuesday 15th December, 7.30 - 9pm. Course cost £75.

YOUR VOICE, REVEALED

Many of us use our voices for a living - lawyers, teachers, actors, salespeople. Even more of us have engaged in public speaking - wedding speeches, interviews. But have you ever felt as though there was something missing? A feeling we all get, that maybe that presentation could have gone a little better.

With professional vocal techniques developed for theatre by Michael Corbidge with Cicely Berry, this 8 week course is for anyone from any industry, to learn to develop your voice as a tool, to speak with passion and flair, and to be heard with interest and enjoyment. Michael will demystify the link between body, voice and text needed to give a clear, coherent, and confident presentation or performance.

Michael Corbidge has been training voice students and professionals for the past 35 years, across the UK and internationally. Through games, exercises, regimes and text work, Michael will show you the true potential of your voice- how to manage it, maintain it and keep it safe.

Thursday 22nd October - Thursday 17th December, 7.30pm - 9pm. Course cost £75.

Course numbers are limited, book your place today at www.imaginariumtheatre.co.uk/online
