FILM REVIEW: Muedra - Bolton Film Festival

Muedra - Spain 2019 - Dir: Cesar Diaz Melendez

Muedra (or 'Death' in English) is a Spanish animated film which I found really rather clever; perhaps unique.

The film uses real scenery, real locations, and builds the animations up from and around them. A Morph-like plasticine man-cum-lizard battles with the heat of the sun and needs to find shade and water before he melts. However he also has to battle against the challenging environment which is anthropomorphised and out to attack him at every turn.

Representing the cycle of life in a contemporary and extremely watchable way. Very enjoyable.
