BOOK REVIEW: Pigs Can Fly [Giggletastic Stories Book 6]

TITLE: Pigs Can Fly
AUTHOR: Joshua McManus
PUBLISHED BY: Independent Publisher.

I was immediately drawn to this children's picture book by the brightly coloured cover with its appealing, amusing artwork. It is a fun, bedtime story told in rhyme about pigs that can fly, excellent for readers aged 2-8 years old.

This delightful picture book with clever, comical, cartoon-like illustrations which enhance the story and bring it to life, has adventurous twists and turns along the way; it has heaps of humour which helps guide readers through the story with thought-provoking rhyme. Children will be entertained by both the witty story and the humorous artwork.

The illustrations certainly catch the eye and tell the story well with absurdity and true-to-life facial expressions by the characters in the story; there is a laugh on every page.

I particularly liked the length of the story which is just right for bedtime reading and will send youngsters off to sleep with a smile on their face and amusing thoughts in their minds.

Additionally, I found the book instructive educationally, as along with it bringing a smile to children’s faces when read to them, it will also encourage them to dare to explore, no matter what others may think and it will inspire them to think differently.

It is an engaging, funny book which is great fun to read to children and amusing for the adults reading it. It certainly is as it’s described - giggletastic!

This refreshing, unusual tale will delight youngsters and those reading it to them. My six year old grandson loves it and I love to hear him giggling when I read it to him.

This is a brilliant series of six picture books with other titles such as ‘What You Shouldn’t Do At School’, ‘Toilet Paper’ ‘The Magic Of Words’, My Pooping Puppy’ and ‘Henry’s Big Ears’.

After reading ‘Pigs Can Fly’, I’m ready for more!
