BOOK REVIEW: Bonnie Bat

TITLE: Bonnie Bat
AUTHOR: Katie Grace
PUBLISHED BY: Pegasus Elliot McKenzie Publishing

This engaging story of a cat, that is also a bat, is told in rhyme. Bonnie is the heroine of the tale and her escapades are fun and endearing.

I was drawn to the book by the brightly coloured illustrations which bring the story to life. They have vibrant colours and large images which really catch the eye and tell the story very well.

The book’s compact size makes it manageable for a child with small hands to hold. Plus, it has easy-to-slide pages which make it easier for small hands eagerly wanting to turn over to the next part of the story to handle. An additional bonus is the wipe-clean cover, ideal for parents reading it to children with sticky fingers.

Young early readers will enjoy this story whilst learning from the rhyming sentences and charming illustrations.
