NEWS: Indie Rockers The Receivers to release new single, 'Only Human' on 28th August.

FUZZED-UP INDIE-ROCKERS THE RECEIVERS TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘ONLY HUMAN’ ON 28TH AUGUST

“90’s indie meets 00’s melancholic vocals … cements The Receivers as a growing rock band with a strong narrative” - York Calling

Currently storming Yorkshire’s rich guitar scene, fuzzed-up York quartet The Receivers are set to release their latest single, ‘Only Human’, on Friday 28th August.

With support from Radio X and BBC 6Music (Steve Lamacq) under their belts, The Receivers are quickly establishing themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting indie-rock outfits. Their live show is a force to be reckoned with too - they’ve played alongside the likes of Himalayas, Hands Off Gretel and False Heads.

Recorded at Sugar House Music in St Helens, the single was written by lead singer Nick Aldous about wanting to be the best version of himself. It’s an anthemic song, harnessing self-belief and new-found confidence, in the vein of the likes of The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Cribs, Elastica and more.

Only Human is a 90’s infused fuzzed-up indie-rock hit that is set to make waves in Yorkshire and beyond. The Receivers are attracting rave reviews around the country and are showing no signs of slowing down.

QUOTE FROM LEAD SINGER NICK ALDOUS:

"I’ve always felt a bit like I’m putting on an act when I’m on stage and I’d rather just be myself about it. The lead lyric, “I don’t want to be myself, but I don’t want to be anyone else” is inspired by not wanting to be a character and wanting to be a better version of myself when on stage and in the studio".

THE RECEIVERS ARE:

Nick Aldous - Vocals/Guitar

Alex Higginson - Lead guitar

Harry Stables - Bass/Backing Vocals

Louis Bristowe - Drums
