The first fully-staged Musical to open in this country since lockdown, Sleepless: A Muscial Romance, will begin on Tuesday at The Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London to a socially distanced audience.
The Musical, which is based on the Tom Hanks film, Sleepless In Seattle, begins previw performances from Tuesday 25th August and will run until the 27th September. The cast includes Jay McGuiness, Kimberley Walsh, Daniel Casey, Harriet Thorpe and Tania Mutherin; and has a book by Michael Burdett and music by Robert Scott.
Including a special NHS performance within the schedule, and both cast and crew taking daily COVID-19 tests, this promises to be a significant and important step forward in ensuring the continuation of our wonderful theatrical traditions. I look forward to hearing about this show's success.
