COVID-Safe Half Term Halloween Panto
at Bombed Out Church
BoJo and his friends are coming to Liverpool for half term week!
Join us for a Halloween Pantomime Adventure like no other this half term week 26th – 30th October at St Luke’s Bombed Out Church!
In a world where Pantomimes are being cancelled and theatres everywhere are closed it can be a difficult time for those with Children to find half term activities to do with their little ones.
Succour Punch Theatre have the answer with this open-air production.
Rehearsed using face shields, wipe-clean scripts, social distancing and copious amounts of sanitizer we are very proud to be bringing this educational panto to the stage.
Children will join BoJo on his adventure to defeat the dreadful Assassin Bug. They’ll learn the importance of social distancing, washing our hands and wearing face masks alongside a lot of laughter through the use of song!
Critically acclaimed, Succour Punch’s previous Liverpool shows have performed to sell-out audiences and received ★★★★★ - North West End and 9/10 Outstanding - WriteBase Reviews.
Sarah Sharp (Director) – “This year has been such a dark time, for everyone. Theatre’s went dark in March and we’re finally starting to see the dim lights of hope. We’ve managed to create a safe, COVID compliant production to educate and inform children and families about not only what we need to do to stay safe, but why we’re doing it. The show on its base level is a children’s show following these loveable characters, but on a higher level is a satire that adults will love too!”
Faye Draper (Co-Writer) – “Its important to keep theatre alive. Even when things are dark its important to find a way to laugh. Bojo not only brings family friendly comedy and let us laugh at our current situation. It also lets us connect with each other even if we are socially distanced. As a survivor of Covid, I think its important we keep life going while staying safe.”
Jazz Jago (Co-Writer) – “Succour Punch has always strived to educate whilst entertaining, and to create work for ourselves and other working-class actors. For myself, an additional purpose of this show is to bring some satire to Liverpool, as well as teaching kids about the virus in a way that can empower them, rather than scare them.”
