ONLINE STORYTELLING REVIEW: The Tinderbox - Little Angel Theatre

Another online story read by Little Angel Theatre to keep the young'uns entertained during these strange and perculiar times.

In this story, read by Nick, we learn that a tinderbox is an old word for a matchbox, and all the accompnaying drawings and animation are made with either matches or matchboxes or both, and are very cleverly thought out and presented by Nix Wood.

The story, or in this case, two stories which combine, concerns a very silly King who locked his princess daughter away in a tower because she didn't want to marry a prince, and so, if she wouldn't marry a prince then no-one would marry her! This displeases the Queen so much that she leaves the palace and lives the life of a poor woman in the forest. Enter story number two, as a young man wanders through the forest and comes across the old woman. She asks him if he wants to be rich and shows him a way of being so... all she asks in return is that he retrieve a tinderbox for her. Of course, the two stories combine and the young man ends up freeing and falling in love with the princess.

A lovely little fairy story nicely, clearly and concisely told by Nick, and enojoyably presented.
