Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, is delighted to announce one of Britain’s iconic music stars, MARTI PELLOW, will be appearing in concert on Wednesday 26 June. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 29 March.

Having scaled the heights with one of the most successful bands in UK pop history, he is now enjoying a highly successful career as both a solo recording and performing artist and as a leading musical theatre star.

The BRIT and Ivor Novello award-winning singer-songwriter first came to the attention of the British public as the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet. With the band and as a solo artist Marti has consistently released chart-topping multi-platinum albums including the solo records Moonlight Over Memphis; Love to Love; the jazz album Sentimental Me; Hope, a tribute to the songs of Broadway and the West End; and the self-penned country-influenced southern soul album Boulevard of Life. He has more than 25 hit singles to his name including one of the most successful in UK chart history, ‘Love Is All Around’, which spent 15 weeks at number one.

Marti Pellow’s glittering career has so far seen him enjoy one of the longest stays at number one in UK chart history with one of the UK’s biggest selling songs of all time. He has also release a string of chart topping multi-platinum albums, won every major award in the British music industry, had the White House proclaim a day be named after him (9 May in Tennessee), break a string of box office records, and star in huge hit musical theatre productions in London’s West End and on Broadway in New York.
