AUTHOR: Daisy Price and Sheila Gosling
PUBLISHED BY: Pegasus Elliot McKenzie
Author Daisy is the main
character in the story which takes place on Christmas Eve. Daisy is given a new gadget to try out which
should enable Daisy’s bed to move. Just as she is trying it out, the doorbell
rings and an elf tells her she is needed by Santa as he has a big problem and
without her help Christmas may have to be cancelled. The elf pushes the buttons
on the gadget and they fly to Santa’s house in the North Pole. With the aid of her new gadget Daisy is able
to help Santa wrap all the presents and deliver them all around the world
before being returned home. Daisy saves
Christmas!
Delightful colourful
illustrations help tell Daisy’s story which will delight early readers and
pre-school children.
The book’s compact size makes it
manageable for a child with small hands to hold. Plus, it has easy to slide pages which make
it easier for small hands eagerly wanting to turn over to the next part of the
story to handle. An added bonus is the
wipe-clean front and back covers, ideal for parents reading the story to
children with sticky fingers.
This is a really lovely review; however, as someone who knows the authors, I'd just like to give Sheila Gosling a little more credit, mostly for her illustrations and for her part with Daisy in creating the story itself. Still, thanks on their behalf for a nice review of the book.
