Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre
Company are gearing up for their main show, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat. The final touches are being polished and it looks set to be amazing.
They are very proud
to have been chosen as only one of a handful of amateur societies to be allowed
to perform Joseph And The Technicolor Dreamcoat. This year is the first time
it’s ever been performed by an adult company on an amateur stage, in celebration
of the show’s 50th anniversary.
Joseph will run
between 6 and 10 November 2018 at the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
This high-spirited
musical is a classic Biblical story of love and redemption in ancient times, as
favoured son Joseph, with his coat of many colours, becomes exiled by his
jealous brothers. He then finds his true calling in the strange new land of
Egypt while coming to grips with the power of lies and injustice.
Many people will have
seen it done by youngsters, or even had the privilege to see it in the West
End, but this is the first year it will ever have been done by an adult amateur
society – and it looks set to be an amazing show.
