Comedy Review Liverpool Laughs Super 7even Stand-Up Comedy Night Heebie Jeebies Liverpool

The advertising blurb boasts 7 comedians for £7 for this comedy night, and that is exactly what this show delivered, much to the enjoyment of those attending.  This intimate comedy showcase attracted a full house in a warm and friendly intimate setting on a dank, rainy, wintery night.

Mark Devine, a seasoned comedy performer, introduced the show and entertained with funny stories about his recent visits to Thailand, having enjoyed three weeks observing life in Pattaya, the small fishing village which evolved into one of the more well-known sex industry destinations of the world.

The line-up consisted of Ben Turner, Fil Milton, Danny Davies, Dave Rowlands, Thornley Pogson, Tom McSharry and headliner, Hatty Preston with Mark interspersing with his own brand of humour in-between acts before going on to introduce the next comic.

There was a varied smorgasbord of content ranging from girlfriends, marriage and family life, conspiracy theories, COVID, old age to dating apps, relationships, weight issues, drugs and various thoughts on recent developments concerning the Royal Family and the Epstein files. There was even an entertaining self-penned rap from Tom McSharry, much appreciated by the audience. Two of the comedians had travelled from Huddersfield and headliner Hatty Preston is a Londoner.  She entertained with perceptions on redheads, the way Scouse girls dress their baby girls and acute observations on the badges worn by Londoners, road rage, men’s mental health, the pressures of being a female comedian and pregnancy yoga.

Overall this was a very entertaining evening of clever wit and well observed amusing narratives of everyday life and the challenges faced by all; short sharp blasts of laugh out-loud comedy with a lot of adult humour.

Each comic performed for approximately 12-15 minutes with anecdotes and fast one liners which were highly valued and appreciated by the audience (which included supportive family and friends) which was demonstrated by laugh-out-loud belly laughs, guffaws and demonstrative clapping and cheering.

The next comedy show will be on 4th March 2026.
