A new app has been created for
those who work at AYS (At Your Service) Protection and Cordell is sure he has
been given it as a test from his boss.
If he can persuade suitable clients to use it he’s certain he’ll be well
compensated with a huge upgrade in the form of a promotion. The app, entitled Ryd (or Ride) is for
transporting select clients, wealthy people, and Cordell is the driver. The Ryd service is a privilege and will
ensure that clients feel safe and know that they are taken directly to their
destination without any stops on the way. AYS want clients to contact them for
the service once they know of its availability and want an ‘in’ on the
high-brand provision.
Cordell’s mission is to approach
affluent prospective clients with a certain calibre, with an offer they
wouldn’t want to refuse and whilst doing so he meets Mackenzie Turner, whom he
is instantly attracted to; the feeling is mutual but Cordell has been warned
not to mix business with pleasure with the clients; there is a definite ‘no
touch’ rule.
Turner is leaving her job with
the boss from Hell but she has learnt her craft and is ready to move on. When asked to try out the new Ryd app she meets
Cordell, a man she is attracted to in a way she has never felt before and when
her life is put in danger she needs him in more ways than she can envisage.
This is a cat and mouse
page-turner which keeps readers guessing until the end. It is a well-crafted story with characters
which readers will love and characters they will not be too partial to. It is a
romance with a twist and I’ll look forward to further stories in the Ryd
series.
This is a very enjoyable read; the
plot and characters kept me interested and I looked forward to catching up with
the story each time I picked up the book; it held my interest right through to
the end.
