Book now for a new comedy stage play coming to the Millgate this January
We are delighted to announce that a BRAND NEW play by Alan Stockdill will be performed on stage at the Millgate Arts Centre on Sunday 31st January 2021. Please support us as we strive to bring back live theatre to Saddleworth - in a socially distanced and 'covid-secure' way!
THE COW FIELDS OF SLACK BOTTOM is billed intriguingly as 'a Yorkshire comedy based on a story by Anton Chekov' and will be performed by the award-winning Talking Stock theatre company, featuring the playwright himself amongst the cast.
If you enjoyed the Saddleworth Players' recent production of LE GRAND RETURN - another play by Alan Stockdill, you will already be looking forward to Alan's sparkling dialogue. His signature warmth and northern humour promises to be just what we all need as we head into the new year.
You can BOOK NOW for the matinée (3pm) or evening performance (7pm) on Sunday 31st January 2021.
The running time will be approximately 1 hour (no interval). In line with current government guidelines, no bar facilities will be available and the audience (limited in number and seated in a socially distance way) will be required to wear face coverings. If the guidelines change, we will take action accordingly. If the play cannot go ahead, full refunds will be issued.
