Following its world debut as Daniel P Carter’s “Rockest Record” on his BBC Radio One Rock Show on Sunday, Enter Shikari released ‘T.I.N.A.’, the third track to be taken from the upcoming album ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’, released 17th April 2020, through So Recordings. Despite being one of the heavier tracks on the album T.I.N.A.’s rhythms and vocal processing are heavily influenced by UK garage and electronica. The track begins with a tense ‘Tubular Bells’ synth syncopating against a chunky guitar riff, underpinned by drums that sound like they’re being beaten by the Hulk, and accompanied by a sneaky Korg M1organ bassline influenced by 90’s house.
’Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’ was produced by Enter Shikari frontman Rou Reynolds, who commented on ‘T.I.N.A.’:
“So much of modern life is obsessed with individualism, but we’re currently being reminded that all of us on earth are part of a super-organism, a supranational collective, as we battle against COVID-19.
“It’s the essence of humanity to build an infinite reality” - we have a consistent failure of imagination in our social design. Question the fundamentals of our archaic economic structure, politics or energy infrastructure and feel the wrath of the self-appointed guardians of the status quo. The defining nature of humanity is to create. Yet we’re being blinkered and stunted.
‘T.I.N.A.’, or ‘There Is No Alternative’ is a mantra we hear from many of those in positions of power as a way to halt any rethinking of how we organise our societies.
We live in unprecedented times, the threat of catastrophic climate change as well as the current pandemic of Covid-19 prove that now is the time for big, broad and bold thinking. We believe humanity can do so much better. We need to think about what is possible. We ask everyone to join the conversation, not kill it.”
Today Enter Shikari announce an extensive UK / European tour for Autumn / Winter 2020. This will be the band’s first headline tour since the mammoth ‘Stop The Clocks’ Tour which ran from December 2018 until April 2019.
Tickets for all dates will go on sale on Friday 28th March 2020 at 10AM at www.entershikari.com/shows
Fully aware that these are strange days in which to be announcing a tour, Rou had this to say about venturing back onto the road:
“It feels like an odd time to announce touring, but the wheels were already in motion before all this stuff escalated and, well, we all need something to look forward to right now. So later this year, as some degree of normality hopefully returns, we will finally celebrate our new album properly and present some of this material live!
Alexandra Palace is now a cemented and certified legendary venue for me. I have had some of the best nights of my life in this place and I plan to have another one this year.
This tour will be extra special.” here

‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’ is produced to dazzling effect by renowned frontman and visionary Rou Reynolds, from a band at the peak of their creative output with a unique story, underlining their 13-year succession as a pioneering and uncompromising musical force. This is an album about possibility, the unnerving irony of endless possibility, the band asking themselves what they can achieve as the world questions “what is possible?”.
’Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’ is a lucid soundtrack for a new decade, with a poignant social commentary that expertly leads the listener from pure pop to scorching punk-rock fury, through four-to-the-floor beats and beautiful orchestral composition. ’Waltzing Off The Face Of The Earth’ (I. Crescendo) and (II. Plangevole) draws you into the madness of modern life, “you can’t trust your own eyes, and you only hear lies, our future’s been denied and there’s nowhere to hide now that nothing is true and everything is possible.” ‘Elegy For Extinction’ is a classical gem recorded in Prague with the City Of Prague Symphony Orchestra, and arranged by renowned film & television soundtrack composer George Fenton (Gandhi, Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Groundhog Day, My Name Is Joe), and the first single ‘{ The Dreamers Hotel }’ a lavishly produced anthem.
The last decade has seen Enter Shikari increase their stature year on year, a rare career story which has taken them to 4 Top 10 albums, millions of streams, huge sell out world tours (most recently in Russia and two American), as well as multiple awards, last year crowned Best British Band by Rocksound, with Best Album from Kerrang! for ‘The Spark’ at 2018’s Awards.
