AUDITION NEWS: Hansel And Gretel (panto) at NEW MILLS, Derbyshire.

Hansel & Gretel – Panto Auditions – New Mills Art Theatre
This is your chance to perform in the beautiful New Mills Art Theatre, the auditorium now golden and glowing after a recent refurbishment.  Our next panto is Hansel & Gretel by Alan Frayn – a classic tale given the full pantomime treatment!
To find out more about the pantomime and meet our production team come along to our Get-Together on Monday, 2 September at 7.30pm at New Mills Art Theatre, Jodrell Street, SK22 3HJ.  We welcome back Director, Rob Brittles and Choreographer, Cathryn Yates along with Musical Direction from Zoey Vickers and Adam Hutchins, who have both worked on recent musicals staged at the theatre.  Our team will talk about the story of Hansel & Gretel, characters, music and choreography and will answer all of your questions.  Audition dates will be held later in September and will be announced at the Get-Together.  Hansel & Gretel will run over 2 weekends with performances on 31st January and 1st, 2nd, 7th & 8th of February 2020.
There are many character parts in the panto – from the traditional panto Dame, Peggy Pumpernickel and her daft son Wally, Nightshade the Wicked Witch of the Woods, Russell and Sheryl her nasty crows, Prince Johann, Otto the snowy owl, Bluebell the good fairy - the list goes on!  If a part is not for you, have some fun in the ensemble - we need a strong company of chorus and dancers to include adults and children.
After the success of our last panto (Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates) we once again picked up Association of Community Theatre (ACT) awards – given to young talented cast members; Isobel Fletcher-Shaw and Jake Hornsey for their outstanding performances.
If you would like more information or you are unable to attend our Get-Together, a friend or family member can register for you, or please contact us on Telephone: 07983 344 862 or Email:friendsofthearttheatre@gmail.com   Due to a very tight schedule in September late applications for registration will not be accepted.
If performing is not for you, but you would like to be part of the production, please still come along to our Get-Together or contact us as above.  You could join our Stage Crew, Technical or Front of House teams who are all volunteers, committed to providing high quality live entertainment for the community for over 50 years.  www.arttheatre.co.uk/groups/friends-panto/
