Mary Lennox, known as a difficult child, is sent to live at her uncle’s estate in England after her parents pass away. Misselthwaite Manor turns out to be a gloomy fortress. Her uncle is rarely home, and his young son, Colin, never leaves his room, convinced he’s cannot walk. To her surprise, Mary discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years. With the assistance of Dickon, the gardener’s apprentice, Mary brings the garden back to life and discovers Dickon’s amazing ability to communicate with animals.

Actor Hazel Wilson who is a graduate of LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) is playing Martha and making her debut with Salford Theatre Company. “I’m very excited to be part of The Secret Garden. I didn’t know the story before I was cast so I’m so pleased to get to know this classic and hopefully bring some of my own personality to an already beloved character”.

A Play for all the family to enjoy over the Easter holidays!
