Musical Concert Review - Logan Paul Murphy A Celebration of Music – The Beatles v Elton John - With A Little Help From Their Friends, Songbook Live.

Logan, an 18 year old talented musician from Workington and amazing singer who was spotted at age 13 busking in Liverpool, delivered an exciting energized performance from start to finish.

Logan, nicknamed, 'The Beatles Boy' appeared on the Channel 4 TV show, The Piano, playing the piano and singing at Lime Street Station, Liverpool; he is inspired by The Beatles and 60's music and applied for the show after watching series one. He sang 'Piano Man' by Billy Joel and was thrilled when hosts, Lang Lang and Mika joined him at the piano for the final line of the song.

He absolutely “rocked the room” at Ormskirk Civic Hall to the delight of a packed audience, some even left their seats and danced the night away.

Ormskirk Civic Hall, an old building used as a drill hall during the war, then as a dance hall afterwards, has been beautifully and tastefully refurbished. A perfect venue for performers, a spacious hall with a large stage and good acoustics, and a large car park nearby. The stage was backlit with black drapes white spotlights and was adorned with just a piano, a mic and a couple of guitars; Logan interchanged singing whilst at the piano or standing front of stage with his guitars.

Logan’s stage attire was ‘a nod to the Beatles’ and he owned the stage, playing the piano, the guitar and the harmonica beautifully. He changed into a Beatle suit for the second half of the show.

He covered many Beatles and Elton John songs; also Elvis, Lonnie Donegan, The Bee Gee’s and Jerry Lee Lewis hits were included during the performance. The audience showed their appreciation for all the songs he performed by either joining in singing, waving their arms in the air and by dancing, Logan encouraging them from the start of his performance. Logan's voice perfectly mirrored the performers whose songs he sang.

It was a packed house, seating was arranged on round tables accommodating ten people and the bar was open before the performance started and during the interval.

Logan is a very talented young man and I highly recommend you check this rising star out, you are sure to have a fabulous evening.

Logan who regularly performs at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, has recently released two new songs, “Back 2 You” and “ Find A Way” from his upcoming album “ The Key” both composed by himself. He is the youngest person ever to play a full set on the main stage of The Cavern Club at 13 years of age.

Logan is currently on tour, for more information and tickets visit his website https://www.loganpaulmurphy.com
