NEWS: School's out, and Bolton Octagon Theatre have loads of family friendly events in store!

We have lots of family friendly events coming up this year. 

We are celebrating our festive production of TREASURE ISLAND and have teamed up with Bolton Library and Museum Services in creating a FREE event for families to enjoy over the summer with THE GREAT PIRATE ADVENTURE. 
The pirate themed exhibition will include a pirate school where you’ll learn how to look, talk and act like a pirate. Sing a pirate song, make a pirate craft and dig for treasure. There is a pirate themed soft play area too!
So, sail over to the Bolton Library and Museum Services for THE GREAT PIRATE ADVENTUREover the summer holidays and keep the kids entertained.

Everyone must have a ticket, sessions are at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, Monday 22 July - Saturday 17 August 2019.

Alongside Bolton's popular Food and Drink Festival, join us over at the Marketing Place Shopping Centre to explore the exciting adventures of The Gingerbread Man.

Read out aloud by a professional actor plus live music and creative craft activities, the classic tale will come to life for your little ones to enjoy.

Suitable for children 3+
Tickets £5 per child with 1 free adult ticket per child, everyone attending must have a ticket.

Do you have children who are interested in seeing, making and performing theatre?

We have various youth theatre groups and groups for young people with learning disabilities and additional needs. Young people meet every week where they will develop drama skills, work with theatre professional and take part in performances, all in a fun and nurturing environment.
It's a great way to meet new friends, build confidence and is open to any young person to join. You don’t need any experience to join – just lots of enthusiasm and energy!

Our groups currently run from Unit 22 at the Market Place Shopping Centre Bolton.
